When someone has experienced trauma or complex trauma, the most difficult thing can be finding someone to talk to about it, or even finding the words to begin speaking. At The Trauma Clinic, my philosophy is to meet clients with compassion and kindness, gently guiding them through their traumatic experience towards recovery and happiness. Having been trained by some of the best-known practitioners in trauma recovery, such as Bessel van der Kolk, Peter Levine and Janina Fisher, I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), somatic psychology and variations of EMDR, which are non-invasion and proven to be highly effective for PTSD and CPTSD recovery.
